What is the best type of insurance to buy term or Variable Universal Life? Why?

Progressive is costing me at $20 a month for smallest amount coverage for a 2010 yamaha r1. I'm 18 yrs old and solitary. Is this also feasible? am i reading something wrong? This cost simply seems not very high tome
